Happy Veteran's Day

Happy Veteran’s Day! We are beyond humbled to share that because of your support, we are able to fully fund a second service dog for a Veteran in need.

Yvonne is a retired U.S. Navy Lieutenant Commander, who has been paired and trained with, Kalea, a one-year-old, female Mini-Goldendoodle. Yvonne lived in Hawaii in the past and Kalea means "filled with joy" in Hawaiian. Yvonne now lives in Oklahoma and is an avid golfer and Kalea loves to ride along with Yvonne in her golf cart. We hope you can join us in thanking Yvonne, Kalea, and all our nation’s Veterans for their service today and every day.

For many brave members of our nation’s armed services, coming home as a civilian is only the beginning of another daunting battle. The invisible wounds of service, including Post-Traumatic Stress and Traumatic Brain Injuries, can often lead to debilitating challenges for many of our nation’s heroes.

American Humane’s #Pups4Patriots program was launched with the goal of providing life-changing, and often lifesaving, support to affected Veterans. The program allows us to support two causes we care deeply about – rescuing dogs in need and helping Veterans suffering from invisible wounds.

We look forward to continuing to support this program every year and can’t thank you all enough for helping us support such a great initiative. Happy Veteran’s day Yvonne, last year’s graduate, Kris Morgan, and all our nation’s heroes. 🙏
